Unmonitored areas

When a locomotive moves from a monitored to an unmonitored track section, the block just left is not released but remains reserved. If the locomotive then returns to a monitored block, its name is not displayed. The train identification system only recognizes it after a restart.

Train identification is used in TrainController to identify trains that enter a block from "'nowhere'" or are deployed manually.

Train Tracking

Nachdem ein Zug identifiziert wurde, wird er von TrainController ganz normal weiter überwacht. Das heisst insbesondere:

• Der aktuelle Block bleibt solange aktuell, bis der Zug in einem anderen Block gesichtet wurde, dass heisst per Zugverfolgung, manuellem Umsetzen oder Zugidentifikation in einem anderen Block.
• Eine per Zugidentifikation gemeldete Ausfahrt aus dem Block interessiert TrainController nicht und wird bei einer Reihe von Zugidentifikationssystemen auch gar nicht gemeldet.
