How are "First vehicle" and "Last vehicle" defined in TrainController?
First and last vehicle
Mr. Freiwald answered the question in the forum as follows:
- The first vehicle in a train consist is always the one shown furthest to the right in the Locomotives & Trains window.
- The last vehicle is always the one shown furthest to the left in the Locomotives & Trains window.
Forwards and Backwards
- A train is moving forward when it moves to the right relative to the Locomotives & Trains window (first vehicle is leading).
- A train is moving backward when it moves to the left relative to the Locomotives & Trains window (last vehicle is leading).
Standing train formation
- A stationary train has no direction of travel.
- The direction of travel set on the individual vehicles of a stationary train can be in opposite directions.
