locomotive changeover depot
Locomotive change without exit
I want to use the locomotive change operating point to drive a locomotive up to the rear of the train. How do I go about it?

locomotive change or shunting area
Mr. Freiwald writes about this in forum
At the operating station locomotive change the locomotive is changed. This means:
- a locomotive is separated from the incoming train,
- drives out
- and another locomotive drives in
- and is added to the train.
Therefore, not only an entry block is always required, but also an exit block over which the separated locomotive can exit.
If it is only a matter of bringing a locomotive in and adding it to a train, the shunting area operating point can be used for this purpose.
